Just a note of support. I'm hopefully past the stage of life when I'll require abortion services, but I am happy to know that the resources are available on the Internet for younger women to know where to turn for safe legal services. I think it's great offering this as a service to women. Abortion is not what I would choose for myself, but I feel it should be an option to all women. It is not my business what my neighbor does to her body. If abortion is what she chooses then maybe it's best for her. A little baby should not have to suffer because the government says women can't terminate their pregnancies. A child can be born into a terrible life especially if it is unwanted..... Sarah.

I am just writing to sincearly thank you for the information which you provided. I am a 21 year old college student who recently awoke to find my room mate who is a male about to rape me in my sleep. There was no penitrarion and he was mearly up against my back. I however have been terrified that I was pregnant. My mensturual cycle is never regular and this month I am 2 1/2 weeks late. I have been making myself sick with fear and have spent many sleepless nights looking for web pages where I could find information on what kind of risk factor was present for me being pregnant. Tonight I came apon your page and it has put my mind at ease....for once someone has published a page with all the facts and with out a bias. Just a note to let you know how important these pages are. Last year, I found out I was 20 weeks pregnant during a routine physical. I had displayed no symptoms. For reasons too numerous to list, I wanted to terminate the pregnancy. In Canada, this is very difficult after 19 weeks. Realizing that my time was running out, I made an appointment at the Cedar River Clinic in Renton, WA. I was treated with the utmost respect and professionalism by all staff there. They made the experience almost pleasant, very informative, not glossing anything over, but expaining every procedure in detail. Honestly, if it had not been for this service, I would have seriously considered any other options, perhaps even illegal abortion, maybe even suicide. It's been over a year now and my life is wonderful. I'm glad my own desperation didn't cause me to waste it. I'm sure many other women, Canadian and American have found themselves in similar situations. These referral pages are TRULY life-saving.... A grateful northern neighbour.
