ACU Health Center
Our state licensed surgical center offers patients the highest quality
medical care and is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory
Health Care, Inc. Our facility has an in-house laboratory that offers
same day results for basic diagnostic testing. Our modern center includes
large surgical suites with a spacious recovery room for the comfort of
our patients. We provide private counseling rooms so patients can receive
confidential counseling sessions. The waiting area is designed to accommodate
the patient and family with informative brochures, magazines, a television,
and comfortable chairs. We hope your visit is pleasant, private, and comfortable.
Waiting Room
ACU Health Center’s goal is to create a relaxed environment where patients feel free to ask questions regarding their health care needs. Patients are also informed of what to expect during each phase of the visit in the hope of reducing anxieties. Our staff provides information in a non-judgmental manner.
STAFF:
Our fully trained staff includes experienced, licensed physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, health educators, medical assistants, and a qualified support staff. The entire staff is committed to the well-being of the patient.
Our Health Education Department provides our patients with the most accurate and up to date information. Our health educators are qualified professionals who have received extensive training to enable them to meet the needs of our patients. We provide pregnancy options counseling including parenting, adoption, and abortion. Patients can arrange a session with a health educator to discuss any topics of concern including, but not limited to: birth control options, sexually transmitted diseases, gynecology, diet, exercise, or general health concerns. We also have an extensive list of referrals to better meet the needs of our patients if necessary. Health Educators are also available to give presentations to local organizations or schools.
The medical staff is concerned about women’s health care and have multiple years of combined experience in this field. The physicians, nurses, NP’s and medical assistants understand the need for privacy, confidentiality, and compassion when meeting with a patient and providing them with medical care. Patients can feel confident they will receive quality care with their abortion procedure, gynecology exam, lab work, ultrasound, and all other services provided.
The intake coordinators are able to assist patients with their questions, filling out their paperwork, or giving a moment to listen. We are all here to make the patient’s experience as comfortable as possible. We understand that the first contact may be the most important, therefore we are available to discuss concerns, give the patient as much information as possible prior to surgery, and ease the patient’s worries.
